I’m breathing in, I’m breathing out like humans do. Ever had a song that rings a bell closer to something special, rewarding and simply a first-time-thing perhaps? This song definitely hit it to my chart. The year was 2002 and we definitely had a taste of a great dose of act-like-professional-software-developers con XP ala Software Engineering. Hmmn.. I first heard of this song back then on one of our XP escapades; and tonight as I sit back and tune in, I remembered it again when the player cued it on. We were so excited to move out (hahaha..except for one who’s absorbed with something else). Our team decided to rent a room closer to the university for a definite reason I cannot figure out how it came about or that we had not the slightest clue that we have to go for it. You know, after ‘invading’ Harry’s place for some two weeks, it dawned on us that we have to find a place exclusively for our ‘minds to work well’ (ganun nga ba yun?) ..uhh..whatever. So there we were, Memey and I were scouting among the nearby boarding houses for some extra room. Nobody told us that asking around could be such fun J for one landlady who turned her house upside down orienting us (convincing us while gritting her teeth! Can u do that at the same time? She does.) of the rules to adhere: ‘Bawal umuwi ng hating gabi, hindi ako magbubukas ng pinto.’, ‘Bawal pumasok sa kwarto ng mga boys and vice-versa’, ‘Ako ang nagluluto ng pagkain’, ‘Extra bayad pag magdala ng TV or flat-iron’, ‘Ah, iba din yung sa tubig’ + + + ‘Dapat naka-off ang ilaw sa kwarto pag tulog na lahat’…ooopps! (Nocturnal angels kami – party starts by 12midnight dude!). Hahahahah! Whatever..this funky and outgoing song reminds me so much of those days.
